Yael Merlini artist resident from Germany, July 2026
Art Print Residency isn’t just “a” residency — it’s a place to grow into the many skills of printmaking, in a professional setting with a genuinely warm atmosphere.
I deeply appreciated the professionalism in teaching every step of the technique — I learned etching and aquatint — and the sheer range of tools, colors, presses, and materials.
What stood out most over the two weeks was how personal it felt: each of us was met exactly where we were, with the specific guidance we individually needed.
Ariadna and Jordi have built a place to learn printmaking deeply, in all its facets. I will surely come back to continue this journey.
Suejin Ko, an artist from the United States, will have a residency in July 2026.
Ariadna and Jordi are wonderful people, teachers, and supporters. This residency exceeded my expectations with their very well equipped studio. It’s also very convenient to have the studio right below the apartment, which is located in a gorgeous space with outdoor spaces as well. I will be coming back!!!
Anthony TungNing Huang artist resident from United States, july 2026.
Art Print Residence is an amazing residency that provides many professional printmaking equipment and workshops that helps artists to develop their work.
During the two week residency I was able to make a body of work that I’m proud of. Ariadna and Jordi are amazing artists and person that helped me a lot through the whole journey. I would definitely come again in nearly future!
Bonnie Marsh, artist-in-residence from Hawaiʻi June 2026.
My time at the Art print residence was full of interesting artists, knowledgeable teachers and discovering new printmaking techniques.
The Spanish towns and people were welcoming, along with their farmers markets and way of life.
A special mahalo (thank you in Hawaiian) to Jordi, Claudia and Ariadna for their knowledge and hospitality.
Brian Giles, an artist from Ireland, June 2026. Art Print Residence was a fantastic experience. The studio is exceptionally well equipped, and the welcoming, supportive atmosphere made it an inspiring place to develop my practice. I had the opportunity to experiment with new techniques, exchange ideas with other artists, and produce a body of work that will have a real impact on my ongoing practice. Thank you to Ariadna, Jordi and Claudia for their generosity, encouragement and professionalism. Linda Craighead a resident artist from United States, joins our Japan Trip 2026. I loved my time in the workshop. It was truly a fabulous experience. It was a privilege to work with such amazing artists, both Katsua and Tetsuya. And I felt so lucky to be in a group of great women and to come away with new friends. I bought a lot of tools and inks in Japan and will continue to explore Mokuhonga in my studio.
Jolynn Reigeluth, a resident artist from United States, joins our Japan Trip 2026. The washi making and mokuhanga workshops were incredible. The teachers we had were wonderful people, and absolute experts in these processes. I had some idea of what was involved in the washi making process, but to participate in making it from raw materials was such a special experience, and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity.
I took part in the ‘Innovations in Mokuhanga’ course led by Prof. Keiko Hara, Prof. Benjamin Selby and Teaching Assistant Ariadna Abada from 30 March to 3 April 2026.
For me, those five days at the art print residence were a burst of inspiration and simply a tremendous gift at a time when the world is marked by uncertainty and worry.
It is very moving that, in such a short time, there was not only a professional exchange at the highest level but also on a human level. The whole world was, so to speak, almost present: two highly accomplished tutors and 10 participants in a place that offers so many possibilities and provides space for the creation of art. People from a wide variety of nations embarked on a five-day journey together to encounter Japanese printmaking techniques. To encounter themselves and others, and to experiment. And to explore new horizons. And all this, even though the babble of languages felt like something out of Babylon.
Thank you so very much for these days full of light, joy and cheer.
Greetings to everyone and see you soon: you always meet twice in life! (At least.)
Thank you very much and to all all the best! Urte

Claire Hankey, an artist resident from the United Kingdom, residency January 2026. I had the most wonderful two weeks at the Art Print Residence, learning large format Monoprinting and Photopolymer Etching. Ariadna is such a great teacher, her instructions were clear and thorough, by the end of the course I was able to print independently at my own pace. The workshop is incredibly well resourced, it was an absolute delight to work there. I made the most of every minute and created a whole body of work during my time at the residence. I was made to feel so welcome by everyone and I now am looking forward to planning my next visit. Thank you to Ariadna, Jordy and Claudia for making this such an amazing experience!
Andrea J. Lee, an artist in residence from Canada, January 2026. Highlights of my time at APR: a wide range of presses, dozens of colour choices for ink, even more paper possibilities, along with experienced technical help in a serene and focussed setting. Creating in this environment meant I could FOCUS because everything I needed (and more) was provided, and living comfortably less than one minute away meant my art was the #1 and only PRIORITY – a truly rare and precious, productive experience. Our shared passion for printmaking and Google translate overcame any language barriers and seeing large scale art grew my sense of possibilities. I felt able to deepen my commitment to printmaking and am extremely happy with the nearly 50 prints I was able to make in my two weeks. Expect a deep and immersive experience, with some fun along the way.
Marie-Claude Morel, artist-in-residence for the seventh time from France; November 2025. This place feels like home but not only! It really is a very special place where everything is done and available to you so that you have no excuse to be unable to realize even the most ambitious project. That is why residents return again and again happy with Claudia and Jordi’s warm welcome and expertise. A big hug to them and to Ariadna.
I look forward to coming back for an 8th residence next year!
Moshe Shai Rosenfeld, an artist resident from Haifa; two residencies in 2025.
I was at an artist residency program twice during the last year. The first time, I came for a week and took the Monoprint course with Jordi. The course was precise and re-taught me the technique, which I was already familiar with.
During the week, I printed a wide range of images in black, and in two colors.
The second time, I came six months later for two weeks, in order to continue printing monoprints. During the time I was there, I printed a lot!
Jordi was in the studio and was available and ready to help with everything I needed.
When I needed a break, I went out for a short walk or to grab something in the nearby village. It was a learning and intense experience.
The accommodation conditions in the house were good and pleasant as well.

Mariya Bilyan, artist resident from United Kingdom, residency March – April 2025. Working at Art Printing Residence has been an absolute pleasure. From the very first visit, I was struck not only by the incredible level of equipment and professionalism but also by the warmth and dedication of the people who run it – Ariadna, Jordi and Claudia. Their passion, knowledge, and friendly attitude create a truly welcoming and inspiring atmosphere.
The studio itself is exceptionally well-equipped, offering everything a creative mind might need to bring ideas to life. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to support high-quality production.
What makes this place even more special is its location. Nestled in a beautiful and serene setting, the environment naturally fuels creativity. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay longer, work harder, and dive deeper into your projects. All in all, this studio is a rare gem – a perfect blend of top-tier equipment, a stunning location, and truly wonderful people. I can’t recommend it enough.
Lizzie Horne, an artist in residence from Australia, will be participating in her third residency in 2025.
Having just travelled from Australia to complete my third residency, I can thoroughly recommend APR to any printmaker wanting to complete a new body of work. Apart from courses in the amazing range of techniques Jordi and Ariadna offer, the studio is a printmaker’s dream; the largest acid bath I have ever seen, dedicated cleaning and work spaces, and a stunning range of tools and inks. Not sure when I will be back, but I surely will!
Jehan Saleh, an artist-in-residence from Bahrain, in July 2025.
Many thanks to the entire Art Print Residence team for your unwavering support during my time in the studio. It’s a remarkable place: professional instructors, uplifting energy, and a nurturing creative atmosphere. Special gratitude to Jordi, Claudia, and Ariadna for making my experience truly inspiring.
Jen Humphreys, artist resident from Scotland, residency July 2025. I had a fantastic time during my Art Print Residency! The studio set up is excellent, Ariadna and Jordi are extremely knowledgeable and generous people, it was a pleasure to work alongside them and my fellow residents. The workspace and accommodation was well organised and this allowed me to really focus on my work during my time here. I would love to come back, and I would highly recommend this to any printmaker, it was highly productive, inspiring and motivating. Thank you for such a great opportunity!
