I did white groung etching on a cooper plate with Jordi ,
Mokulito course with Ariadna and photogravure with Silvi Glattaeur. They are the best teachers I had ,very professionnal, patient and welcoming, and I had so many creative wonderful time in this place with so many inkcolors and big press, fulled with plants in the poetic loggia and garden.
The accomodation in an a shared appartement with many artists coming from all the world on the second floor is very convenient to work with efficiency.
Many thanks to Jordi, Claudia, Ariadna a lovely creative family I ‘m happy to have met. Don’t hesitate to discover this place near Barcelone.

Michael Trupiano, an artist resident from the United States; residency in October 2024. Art Print Residence is an incredible printmaking studio with all the resources to pursue one’s art.  My week long residency with Silvi Glattauer teaching photopolymer based etching was very rewarding and gave me too many (😉) ideas to pursue in my own studio.  The prints I made were beyond my expectations.  Claudia, Jordi, and especially Ariadna we’re amazing to work with: completely sharing and encouraging.  I am sure I will return to APR and encourage anyone interested in printmaking to do so.

The print shop and facilities are top quality. But most of all Jordi, Ariadna and Claudia are the best! They are technical experts in all areas along with being very warm and caring people.  I couldn’t have asked for a better experience except to extend my stay.

ArtPrintResidence APR is a very beautiful space 30min by foot from the sea with a beautiful view. The rooms are nice and clean. During the week one can work in a big, very well equipped printing atelier and in the evening go to the beach and eat something in a restaurant. The family who organizes APR is very welcoming and helpful. Not only do they contribute to the friendly, familiar and positive atmosphere, they also support the artists in their creative process by cheering, being very responsive when there is a question or a doubt and their great insight into the various printmaking techniques. It is a great environment for those who wish to work in a kind, positive environment with highly skilled people.

Art Print residence is a paradise for printmakers. The facilities and the working environment are all designed to provide the best working conditions. The tuition and the expertise of all the professionals guiding you is unparalleled and make this a perfect experience for any artist seeking to deepen their knowledge and skills. I had a great time exploring my own practice with all the support I needed and I enjoyed meeting talented printers and forging new friendships with people from all over the world. I spent a month at Art Print Residence working with different intaglio techniques large scale. It’s a playground full of options all very professionally taken care of. Jordi, Ariadna and Claudia makes you feel very much at home and are very helpful, accommodating, and competent. Great working environment in the studio (we were 4 there). I absolutely loved the way everything was efficiently arranged.
Good quality colors and interesting selection of fine paper. Excellent teaching – and assistance if you need that.
The apartment above is convenient, very nice, with different options (e.g., 1, 2, or 3 in a room together).
The hosts are wonderful; loving and friendly.

Jenna Noordstra, artist resident from Canada, residency June 2024. I had the pleasure of spending a week at Art Print Residence learning photoetching on photopolymer plates and chine collé. The studio space is equipped with everything you could possibly need for printmaking and Ariadna, Jordi, and Claudia were always there to help and answer any questions. The location of the residency was incredible and so inspiring – the perfect getaway for any creative looking for a change of scene. I could not recommend this residency enough and I definitely hope to return one day!

I spend three magical weeks Art Print Residence. I took the following classes the first two weeks: engraving with Photopolymer plates, 
Relief printing with magnetic plates, and  Soft Ground Etching and last week I spend time printing. Thank you Ariadna and Jordie for teaching me so much. Thank Claudia for your warm hospitality. I am looking forward to going back next year.
The studio is fantastic time simply flew by I could have stayed a bit longer.

This is one of the richest and most extraordinary experiences I have ever had as a printmaker. Jordi, Claudia, and Ariadna, taught me so much, and their studio is beautifully stocked with the widest range of papers, inks, and tools imaginable. I took a class with Jordi in soft ground, and he responded kindly and patiently to all my questions. The whole team was incredibly hospitable and kind, and the location on the Mediterranean is unbeatable. I felt as though I had entered some kind of art paradise and never wanted to leave. It is a magical experience that I very much hope to repeat in the future! ¡Mil gracias!

Artist resident February 2024

Art Print Residence is a fantastic studio to develop your own projects. I spent one week in this fully equipped place where you can work with Charbonel ink and a wide selection of papers, Japanese and more traditional Somerset and Fabirano. The studio is peaceful and lightful, Ariadna and Jordi are available and happy to demonstrate their own methods. During my stay I experienced new ways of working, by using photopolymer plates printed on Japanese Paper and by changing the scale of my work. I will come back.

“I am graphic artist Teodora Jurčytė, I live and create in Lithuania, Vilnius. I mostly use etching, aquatint and other intaglio printing techniques. I am very happy to be able to celebrate that in September 2023 I experienced a creative journey to the Art Print Residency and at the same time, thanks to this residency, I was able to create works for the most recent personal exhibition that opened a week ago – “Whispers to Federiko” at Galaunes House – Museum in Kaunas, Lithuania. These are works that were born precisely in this Art Print Residence. The creative time I spent in this residence was very important for me as a young artist starting out, not only in terms of ideal conditions for creativity, but also in terms of professional development and growth as an artist. It is a special place where the artist is accepted as he is, with the possibility of leaving it improved technologically, conceptually and artistically. It is a place where the hosts of the residency lend their knowledge, advice and constant presence of artistic camaraderie to the creators. I think what impressed me the most as a young creator was the gentle, simple and genuine communication about all the issues that arose during my stay at the Arenys de Munt Art Print Residency in Catalonia.

Arriving at the residence, the artist gets into a healthy rhythm of creative work, is introduced to the procedure and is given access to equipment, tools, paper and paints adapted to create all graphic techniques. At the same time, it is very good that all the equipment and tools are tested and of high quality, considering what the hosts of Art Print Residency want to provide to the artists in residence. This raises the bar for the artist to value his creative time, works, ideas and art itself even more. At the same time, this place is also fundamental for those who are interested in the preservation and nurturing of classical graphic techniques, because in my humble opinion, after reviewing the list of contemporary residences that offer to create with classical graphic techniques, such residences are quite a rare phenomenon, especially if the creator aims to create his art at a high level. quality measures.
So, I want to spread the word about the great art place – Art Print Residency in my country and in the immediate environment, so that every artist should and can get to know this diligently established residency.

Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I wish that this Art Print Residency will last for many years and be an example to other art institutions as a creative project that thrives and exists because of art.

My residency at ArtPrintResidence was extremely productive and entirely enjoyable. Claudia, Ariadna, and Jordi helped me when I needed it and gave me the space and equipment to accomplish all I wanted to, and more, on my own. The studio is the best-equipped I have ever worked with, and the available selection of inks and papers allowed me to explore new approaches to printing my etching plates. I am a life-long printmaker and still learned a lot. I enjoyed my interaction with other artists, especially during down times, when we exchanged examples of our work, technical know-how, and our personal backgrounds. Entirely worthwhile and fulfilling experience — I would love to take part again.

The studio and its facilities are multiple. a real dream for any printer. you need a tool? just ask. You want to test a new technique? workshops are available. You need to print giant sizes? no problem at all : 4 presses at you service from a small one to a very big one! Really pro but with  a warm and human touch.
