Work about intaglio drypoint and monoprint; hand made paper for printing and made an environment sculpture on the mediterranean woods.

Hi everyone! I’m proud to announce I completed my final sculptural installation here at Art print residence. As a continuation in a series of my thesis work, this project was an immersive tunnel meant to evoke feeling in those who entered. My time here has been beautiful and very emotionally dynamic. It’s been a lovely time creating this, finding pieces from the surrounding forest, making abaca paper and finally laying it to rest to decay in the woods of Orrius with the help of Ariadna. The audio encompasses a variety of recordings I’ve taken over this time period as well as a recorded poetic statement-.“Seeking to burn all remnants of past selves and drop them in the atlantic. Streams of water run over until we vanish into sediment. Not in sadness, a moment of necessary sublimation. Frozen for months. breakdown and rebuild from ash. Hold on to those you love. give them small pinches to keep. Have you ever wondered, if those in the infinite, up in cinder and smoke, if they laugh at us when we try to find a means to distribute them the way they wished, when it will continue to change shape? As the body is not the same as when you held yourself months ago. As mind is liminal and physical not. There’s no right way to put it. Only to kiss the ash of life and move forward. In any way we can.”   Anna Corso
