Jani Forrester — Argentina

In June 2026, Jani Forrester, an artist from Argentina, completed an artist residency at Art Print Residence, focused on the creation and development of an artist’s book.
During her stay, Jani participated in an Artist’s Book Workshop, led by Jordi Rosés.
Throughout the course, she explored the artist’s book as a creative medium, investigating the relationship between image, printing, typography, sequence and book structure. The workshop provided a space to experiment with different ways of combining original prints and text within a unique book format.
As part of her project, Jani worked with water-based monotypes and typography, developing a series of printed images and exploring how they could interact through the pages and structure of the book.
Under the guidance of Jordi Rosés, the different elements were brought together into a coherent artist’s book, where the printing process, materials and physical construction became an integral part of the final artwork.
Her residency at Art Print Residence offered an intensive period of experimentation and creative development, allowing her to explore the artist’s book as a meeting point between printmaking, typography and book arts.
