I spent a week at APR. It is a wonderful space to work and get inspired. The nature is very refreshing around here as well. Jordi, Caludia and Ariadna run a well equipped print shop and they are all very helpful and lovely people. I definitely will return here.

Moving through the third week of my residency…What an amazing experience…Far too many new ideas!! These days spent Art Print Residence have been so full, so valuable, and so much FUN!! Feels absolutely amazing to be surrounded by like-minded and such talented friends – Ariadna Abadal Aubrey Roemer Elly Prestegård Sorcha Avalon Mackenzie Clàudia Lloret and Jordi!! I’ve learned so so much and am very grateful for this little slice of printmaking paradise by the ocean under the Spanish sun…

Four weeks residency is over. Cannot believe how quickly time has passed. It has been a fantastic stay, thanks to Ariadna Abadal , Jordi Rosés Pou and Claudia Clàudia Lloret at Art Print Residence. I am grateful for all the support and cannot wait to return.

Where do I start? I could start with the studio where everything is perfectly organized down to the smallest detail. The wonderful huge press is a printmakers dream, and the collection of tools is a real Sarepta´s jar. Every singel tool has it´s own place, and is so well kept. Such a joy to play around with, exploring the possibilities of printmaking. And if you have a special need, be sure Jordi has a tool for that as well. This is a place where a long career in printmaking experience is concentrated, and problem solving is a natural part of life. Also the health concern, working in a non toxic environment, is of greatest importance. After one month in residency my first thought is “how quickly can I go back?” Thank you Jordi, Claudia and Ariadna for the support, for being such great hosts for the stay. Your enthusiasm is unique.

Such a wonderful experience to work in the splendid environment at Arenys de Munt in a well maintained printmaking studio. The technical advise and support from Jordi, Claudia and Ariadna was exceptional.

I would not hesitate to recommend this residency to other artists that have the desire to explore the many elements and layers of the printmaking process.

Art Print Residence, lo recomiendo altamente, es un lugar alucinante!, si eres un amante del grabado y quieres probar todo lo habido y por haber tienes que venir a este Taller. El estar de artista residente en este paraíso del grabado me ha dejado como nueva, voy llena de buenas vibras y mil aprendizajes importantes.
El team de Art Print son personas super humanas y querendonas. Jordi y Claudia son unos estampadores de esos de los que ya no quedan… excelentes!, además Jordi no dejara de sorprendente con todo lo ingenioso que es, cacharro que no existe pues se lo inventa y si existe te lo mejora, es un tipo genial!
Y Ariadna, que en la distancia es tu primer contacto con el Taller, ella es quien te resuelve un sin fin de cuestiones practicas / cotidianas, es muy maja y tiene un gran sentido del humor.

Jordi and Claudia have established an excellent creative context for the discipline of intaglio. The first floor print studio is equipped with an astounding inventory of presses and hand tools, supplies, inks, papers and other items that offer a vast array of possibilities. The upper floor provides artists in residence with spacious living quarters with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean seacoast and Arenys de Mar. Full bathroom and kitchen facilities are there for the resident’s use.

Last summer I brought my wife and teenage daughter to ArtPrint Resdence for a residency of two weeks. They were footloose to tour the area by train from daytrips to Barcelona to the Costa Brava. During the residency, I was then free to spend my workdays on a woodcut block which will be coupled with hand reduction screenprinting. My time with Jordie and Claudia was a delightful experience. They were such thoughtful and gracious hosts, providing private transportation to and from the train station, supermarkets, and other shops.

I highly recommend Art Print Residence to any print artist wishing for a near perfect haven for a working vacation.

it was my first experiense of art residence.I set out on my journey full of hope. and now i can make sufficient conclusions – i had unforgetable month in one of the most picturesque places i’ve ever been! in Artist In Residence of one month in Barcelona,I’ve mastered the “carbon random” technique originated in Spain.

This is a printmaking technique that uses an acrylic plate to plate material.

In the process of up to plate making, we use an acrylic paint, the powder of carbon.Because I do not want too much to take the time to printing from floating the image, very easy and fast this technique, I felt that it is technique that is suitable for me.I have produced the largest print works (100cm × 150cm) in my life until now!!!haha

Also, I feel that not outdone in other printmaking techniques even as the possibility of representation of this technique.

Jordi Rosés Pou and Clàudia Lloret! Thank you for the wonderful days. It was a really happy itself was able to concentrate on the work of art in an environment where nature is full.

I went to many good museum and beautiful architecture and a huge park and the mountain, was touched culture and nature. I have also met a lot of so nice people.
