We are delighted to welcome Sabine Smith, an artist from Germany, who returns to Art Print Residence for her fourth artist residency with us!
It is always a pleasure to welcome back artists who have become part of our creative community, and we are especially happy to have Sabine working in our studio once again.
During this residency, Sabine will focus on sugar-lift aquatint on copper plates, exploring the expressive possibilities of this traditional intaglio technique.
Through experimentation with sugar-lift and aquatint, she will investigate the interplay of brushwork, tonal variation and texture, creating images that combine the spontaneity of painting with the richness of intaglio printmaking.
We look forward to following her creative process and discovering the prints that emerge from this new period of artistic exploration.
